Description: This letter was written by James M. Young to his sister while he was stationed with the 2nd Indiana Cavalry in Louisville, Kentucky. He asks his sister for news about their family as well as his brother Ransom T. Young also serving in the Union army. He also discusses his desire to receive his pay and muster out of the army to return home.
