716. At the edge of the 1937 flood

Description: People stand at the edge of the 1937 flood waters, watching a man rowing a boat. Two of the men are using bicycles, the others may have used a car which is barely in sight in the far left hand side of the picture. Along the left and towards the center are a number of buildings lapped by the flood waters. Telephone and electrical poles are still standing, sticking out of the waters. A truck stands in the water with the flood up over his tires. To the trucks right a man rows a boat. On the far right hand side of the picture it appears that several boats wait their turn for use in rescuing people.
