471. East Court Avenue, 1937

Description: Taken from the center of the street, the image shows the street cleared of all but a veneer of mud on the road. Two cars are passing each either on the road and more vehicles, including what looks like a dump truck or garbage truck can be seen beyond them. Along the side walk is a pile of debris with damaged buildings, both brick and wood, in the background. The trees along the street look as if they will not recover from the flood. The two positive notes in the picture are that vehicles are moving and that the telephone lines are still standing tall and it appears that the wires are strung and not loose.
