Located on the northside of Market Streets between Spring and Pearl. This two story tall Victorian edifice boasted 8 chimneys that warmed the Mayors office, Court rooms, City Council Chambers and other chambers for city business. It was a red brick and limestone building, well lit by 6 windows across the second floor in front and eight windows on each side, both upstairs and down. It would stand, at least through the 1937 flood. |
