Sisters Margaret Ellen Ella Mitchell and Charlotte Anne Lottie Mitchell moved to Huntington from Roanoke in March 1887 to set up a dressmaking business. Eventually they established Mitchell Sisters, their dressmaking office, and began hiring local girls to help fulfill orders. In July 1895, the sisters closed Mitchell Sisters for the summer and decided to have photos taken of them and their assistants. This photo likely came from those photos taken in July 1895 as Sadie Price marries in October 1895 and leaves the establishment.
