The Blacherne is an apartment building located at 402 North Meridian Street in Indianapolis, Indiana. The building was constructed in two phases in 1895 and 1896 by Lew Wallace, a Civil War General and author of Ben Hur. The Blacherne was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983 and underwent renovations in 2005. As of 2017, the Blacherne continues to operate as an apartment building. |
