Lloyd is at Camp McGill in Japan. They will be moving to Mt. Fujayama to a training base. He went to Kankori and saw a statue of Budha. Lloyd says that the Red Cross is not helpful and that it is a bitter joke. This letter is part of the Jesse G. Dorsey Korean War Correspondence collection. Dorsey was the Director of Recreation and Welfare and editor of the Speed-O-Meter newsletter for the Louisville Cement Company. Dorsey began sending monthly letters and the Speed-O-Meter to local service personnel during WWII. He continued this through the Korean War and for sometime afterwards. |
