Korean War Letter from Lionel E. Dold to Jesse G. Dorsey 14 Oct 1951

Description: Lionel is in school at West Point. He has been in the hospital for two weeks because of a foot infection. He says the Red Cross provides them magazines, cards, books, and other things. He enjoyed getting the items because he could not get those things when with his company. They had a blood drive for the Red Cross. This letter is part of the Jesse G. Dorsey Korean War Correspondence collection. Dorsey was the Director of Recreation and Welfare and editor of the Speed-O-Meter newsletter for the Louisville Cement Company. Dorsey began sending monthly letters and the Speed-O-Meter to local service personnel during WWII. He continued this through the Korean War and for sometime afterwards.
