Korean War Letter from Jack L. Kitterman to Jesse G. Dorsey 12 Oct 1951

Description: Jack likes getting the letters from Jesse. It is how he knows what is going on around Sellersburg and Speed. He does not have much time to write while he is in boot camp. He joined the company drill team which gives him liberty every weekend. He will get to march at the Navy vs Northwestern football game. He will be graduating boot camp and has been recommended for aviation fundamentals school in Florida. This letter is part of the Jesse G. Dorsey Korean War Correspondence collection. Dorsey was the Director of Recreation and Welfare and editor of the Speed-O-Meter newsletter for the Louisville Cement Company. Dorsey began sending monthly letters and the Speed-O-Meter to local service personnel during WWII. He continued this through the Korean War and for sometime afterwards.
