Description:	A 1848 hand-drawn plat map of the Clarksville, Indiana. Part of the map is missing. It appears from the note that Sidney S. Lyon, County Surveyor Clark County, copied the original map of the survey of Clarksville. Streets that are listed on the map: Bowman, Randolph, Croghan, Boone, Chaplin, Terrell, Vincennces, Taylor, Edward, Jackson, Moore, Bailey, Harrison, Heth, Campbell, and Clark Avenue. Creeks on the map: Cane Run and Mill Run.Transcription from map.[unreadable] of the 1000 acres of LAND laid off for the Town of Clarksville as laid out or divided into lots of 20 Acres.Laid down by scale of 50 poles to the Inch, a true copy in substance of a map in the possession of the Clerk of the trustees supposed to be the original map of this survey, as far west as Lots No 44 & No 37.
