An aerial view of the Sims Oak Hill Golf Course, located in Middlebury. The course was designed by William Diddel and opened for play in 1962. The city of Elkhart purchased the course in 1966. The course closed in 2012 due to budget issues, and was auctioned off in 2013 for $1,335,000. Rather than selling it in one parcel, five individual groups bought portions of the course. |
