This photograph shows Elkhart Carnegie librarians Mary Houseworth, Frances Platter Cullen, and Frances Houseworth Thompson standing beside the second bookmobile which was purchased in 1926. This vehicle was later sold during the Depression in the early 1930s when Concord township was unable to raise the funds to pay for service to that area. The library did not replace the bookmobile until 1948. |
