Description: |
Gastroliths are often referred to as “gizzard stones.” These stones have been swallowed by a plant eating dinosaur to help it to digest plants. These stones would tumble around in the digestive track of the dinosaur breaking up plants which would provide more nutrients (and would also polish the stones). |
