The term Depression Glass refers to American-manufactured transparent glassware made between the 1920s through 1945, encompassing the years of the Great Depression in the United States. A lot of Depression Glass was given away as promotional items in soap or cereal boxes, or distributed at movie theaters or gas stations to encourage patrons. The glass came in a variety of colors. |
