Description: |
On December 25, 1951, 10-year-old Norman Townsends Christmas wish was granted when he found this Schwinn Black Phantom bicycle waiting for him at his home in Watseka, Illinois. Purchased by his parents for around $100 at the Kankakee, Illinois Schwinn Bicycle Shop, the Black Phantom was a fixture in the Watseka area for 40 years. Its battery-powered head and tail lights, side-mounted horn and locking mechanism set this well-made bike above other models. |
