Description: |
Countess di Brazza sends Sewall a copy of Vita Feminiti, the organ of the Italian Council of Women, apologizing for some of the content. She is happy to know that Sewall may establish communication with her friend Mr. Wade and, through him, Dr. Mary Wood Allen. Apparently the two had discussed the possibility of publishing an International Council of Women Magazine. She includes a partial copy of an introductory note to Wade, asking for his assistance with the idea. The Countess then goes on to discuss spiritualism.Cora di Brazza was an American-born woman who married and made her life in Italy where she worked with the poor and established a lace school. She traveled to the Chicago Worlds Fair in charge of the Italian Lace exhibit. She was an active nationally-renowned opponent of the death penalty. |
