| Description: |
Mrs. Apponyi is happy to hear from Sewall and her work to promote peace. Perhaps we are getting nearer to it by all our Victories. We have not only driven the Russians out of the comparatively very small part of Austria and Hungary - but we now occupy nearly all Prussian Poland and other parts. The Apponyis have turned Eberhard Castle into a hospital for wounded soldiers.Clotilde Apponyi was active in peace work and in the League of Nations. She was the wife of Count Albert Apponyi, a Hungarian statesman. |
