Description: Garrison informs Sewall that, although he supports her work and the Congress, he will not be able to be a patron of the event nor will he be able to contribute to the expenses of the colored teacher whom you wished to attend the Congress as a delegate.Francis J. Garrison was the youngest son of William Lloyd Garrison, the abolitionist. He collaborated with his brother, Wendell Phillips Garrison, on a biography of his father.
