Dispatch call, March 23, 1969

Description: This is a digitized recording of a dictabelt, which the Indianapolis Fire Department used to record dispatch calls during the 1960s and 1970s. Following are the calls on this dictabelt: 1) Fire reported on the 300 block of W 44th. 2) Fire reported at 1598 Roosevelt. 3) Fire reported on the levy at Eagle Creek between Morrison St, behind trucking company. 4) Ambulance needed at 3844 Fletcher. 5) Second call reporting fire on the levy and spreading up the hill at Eagle Creek on Miller St at the dead end of the street. 6) Burn victim at 1346 Union. 7) Caller says key broke off in her front door, 3653 North Illinois. Dispatcher sends truck 13 to assist her. 8) Fire reported in alley between Webb and Madison Ave, 2153 Madison Ave. in the rear. 9) Heart attack reported at 235 S State St. 10) Rescue unit requested at 815 N Park. 11) Fire reported in a parking lot of a new building near 2100 Shelby. 11) Hyman Brown, male white 28, 233 N State, seizure, used one tank, sent to General. 12) Police car needed at 13 N Capitol to assist a boy who was beaten up.
