Description: This is a digitized recording of a dictabelt, which the Indianapolis Fire Department used to record dispatch calls during the 1960s and 1970s. Following are the calls on this dictabelt:1. House fire reported at 757 Moreland Street, children trapped inside. First engine on the scene later calls for backup. 2. Call for coroner to Moreland Street house fire, presumed fatality. 3. Request for 14th squad gaso-meter to Indiana Museum of Art at 110 East 16th Street and meet a staff member in the parking lot. 4. Telephone repair worker calling about work on IFD callboxes on 16th and College. 5. Bus on fire reported at 5700 East Washington Street. Woman called back to say to disregard. 6. At 30th and Sherman a fire rescue inhalator requested for man struggling to breath. 7. Man in City Gas Truck having heart attack needs medical help at 428 North Wilcot Street. 8. Grass fire at 3502 Tiffany Street reported. 9. Telephone call testing communications at station.
