Description: |
Harrison petitions the New Jersey legislature regarding the sale of his land in Sussex County. He asks that the legislature change the New Jersey law which prescribes the mode of acknowledging deeds by nonresidents who reside in the Territories. The deeds in question were drawn up by Benjamin Parke, a Supreme Court judge in the Indiana Territory. The purchasers of the various parcels of land were John Demore, Robert Bell, Ira Fuller, and Lodiwick Warner. |
