Parade Scene on Welcome Home Day

Description: This photograph was taken near the Soldiers and Sailors Monument in downtown Indianapolis. It shows the Welcome Home Day parade for troops from the World War I Rainbow Division. Civilians line the streets and American flags and bunting are draped from windows and flagpoles. Young ladies toss flowers from platforms as the troops walk under the victory arch erected for this massive celebration following the war to end all wars.
