10th Aero Squadron Just Back From France

Group portrait of the 10th Aero Squadron commanded by Captain Louis Kronig shortly after their return to the United States from their 18 month appointment in France. The squadron was organized in May 1917 and spent time at the Rantoul, Illinois Aviation School before embarking for France in December 1917. The squadron won both baseball and football championships while they were in France and they hold banners commemorating these wins. |
