Children from the Indiana Music Company are standing on the steps at Monument Circle with their instruments. According to the city directory the Indiana Music Company was located at 115 East Ohio Street in Indianapolis. The company was owned by Paul H. Rinne. He was a musician and businessman who helped establish the Philharmonic Orchestra of Indianapolis in 1940. The original nitrate negative was copied with funds provided by a grant from the National Historical Publications and Records Commission in 1990. This digital image was created from that copy. The copy prints and negatives are stored in Microfiche Number order. |
