Portrait of Brevetted Brigadier General Benjamin Harrison

Description: Harrison is wearing his uniform. He has a full beard.
The 70th Regiment was organized in Indianapolis between July and August of 1862. Harrison was named as Colonel. They were active in campaigns in Kentucky, Tennessee, and Georgia, and were with Shermans army in North Carolina when Lees surrender was announced. He was a Brevetted Brig. General when he mustered out with the Regiment.
