The Encampment brought a chance for many soldiers to visit and reacquaint with those they had served with during the war. There were many regimental reunions and camp fires throughout the event. In addition to serving as the Chairman of the Citizens Executive Committee, Col. Eli Lilly also hosted a reception for the 18th Battery Indiana Light Artillery and 9th Regiment Indiana Cavalry. |
