Description: Reid, by order of Colonel G.M.L. Johnson, Commanding 2nd Brigade, 1st Cavalry Division Army and Division of the West Mississippi, instructs Pepper to take his men to Greenwood and then east to Perdido Mills and establish a courier line from there to the commanding generals headquarters.
