Description: Zenas Bliss was the Captain of, Company K, 28th Regiment, United States Colored Troops. Zenas Harrison Bliss enlisted as a Private with the Ninth Regiment, Vermont Infantry Volunteers, Company I. After several promotions, he became a quartermaster sergeant in July 1864. Soon after his discharge from the U.S. Army, he got an appointment with the 28th U.S. Colored Troops.
