Zenas Bliss was the Captain of, Company K, 28th Regiment, United States Colored Troops. Zenas Harrison Bliss enlisted as a Private with the Ninth Regiment, Vermont Infantry Volunteers, Company I. After several promotions, he became a quartermaster sergeant in July 1864. Soon after his discharge from the U.S. Army, he got an appointment with the 28th U.S. Colored Troops. 300 ppi The donor of this collection sent this digital photo of Zenas H.
