The Bucklen Opera House opened in 1884 in Elkhart with a seating capacity of 1,200 and hosting vaudeville, dramatic, and musical groups. In 1896 Elkharts first motion picture was shown here for 5 cents in the balcony and 10 cents on the main floor. Message on postcard reads: How are you. Rallie. Postcard addressed to Mrs. J Cargett, 918 Prospect St., Indianapolis, Ind. |
