Description: |
Seated at his desk, Louis A. Reasor takes notes as he talks on the candlestick telephone at his service station in Corydon, Indiana. Reasor came to Corydon in 1915 after having spent eight years with the Pullman Company as a conductor on Pullman cars. He then worked as an insurance agent in Corydon for five years, then spent another five years conducting an automobile business in Louisville, Kentucky. In 1925 Reasor purchased the Red Mill at the southeast corner of Chestnut and Mulberry Streets in Corydon. Reasor razed the old mill and erected a modern service station on the site, which opened in November 1926. |
