W. F. Schmidt Excavating and DrainageTwo unidentified men of the W. F. Schmidt Excavating and Drainage Company near a concrete mixer. Waldemar (“Walt”) F. Schmidt, owner and operator of the W. F. Schmidt Company in Corydon, Indiana, was widely known throughout southern Indiana for his extensive work on roads and bridges throughout the region. He eventually moved to New Albany, Indiana, and worked as the superintendent of roads for the Lucas Paving Company of Scottsburg. |
