Members of the Harrison County Chapter of the American Red Cross prepare bandages during World War II to help with the war effort. The women have been identified as follows, clockwise from bottom left: Ruth Morris, Eva Kepner, Lottie Griffin, Mrs. Gordon Walts, Catherine Miller, Bertha Duley, Nell Miles and Mary Adams. Over ninety local women offered their services to the Red Cross during this time and worked diligently four afternoons and three nights per week to prepare surgical dressings for wounded soldiers. |
