Karl Kae Knecht Cartoon

Description: Indiana State Police Superintendent Zeis and Evansville Police Chief Gash stand next to one anther on the right side of the cartoon. Gash holds up a sign which says that the Evansville City Police have declared war on gambling. Zeis has a similar sign under one arm. He says that the state police are cracking down on gambling, but they are also enforcing traffic laws, especially noise and speed limits. Zeis holds out a huge hand to stop a noisy car that is driving down the highway on the left side of the cartoon. The driver looks back at Zeis in surprise. Knechts elephant puts his front feet over his ears.
