Karl Kae Knecht Cartoon

Description: Hoffa, identified by a nametag, stands on a platform in the lower left corner of the cartoon. A person representing the National Teamsters Union Convention prepares to crown him with a crown which says Elected President and Acquitted. There are instructions in the left margin of the cartoon telling the engravers to make the crown say only Acquitted, in the event that the union failed to hold elections the day before the cartoon was scheduled to run. Federal Courts, U.S. Senate Racket Investigation Committee, and A.F. of L.-C.I.O. Combined Unions each point a finger at Hoffa. Some Teamsters and Public shakes his fist at him. In the bottom right corner, Knechts elephant welcomes a gathering of Prophets from 8 states to a convention at the local No Ruz Grotto.
