Karl Kae Knecht Cartoon

Description: A man Responsible Parent stands with his back to a tree full of birds holding signs and a boy holding a gun. The birds signs say that boys are shooting them in violation of state laws protecting songbirds and a city ordinance banning the firing of guns. Other signs describe accidents caused by boys playing with guns--one in which a boy was killed and one in which a child lost an eye. A dead bird lies on the ground; a second bird stands over it and cries.
