Karl Kae Knecht Cartoon

Description: Several people sit around the edges of a room. A radio loudly broadcasts a soap opera; several of the people are visibly annoyed by the sound. A text box asks who controls radios in public places and comments that everyone seems afraid to change the station or turn down the volume on these radios.

Your purchase free if we fail to thank you. Oh please! Not that speech! You dont care how I feel--dont tell me what makes me happy--Ill not have cheap sentimental scenes--you dont dare to do it--Ill not let life pass me by because Im over 35--the kind of man I like--why dont we go out evenings--when you walk out of here tonight--I dont ever want to see you again--I must face this alone--when did you last see Mona Moaning? Come to think of it--that girl didnt thank me when I bought that paper. Those radios in public places, like hotel lobbies. Who regulates and selects the program? Sitters all seem afraid to change or to even tune down. Example: after 2 full hours of soap-dramas--a different one every 15 minutes--it was discovered that but one local station could be tuned in.
