Oh! Guess wed better adjourn till October 1. 300 members absent now. Roll Call. Youll be sorry! The public wont like it--. With all who have junketed to Europe and Pacific well lose face at home if we dont go. Great--now 54 of us can go round the world--we have government passes and $100,000 junket expenses. That will deplete our junket fund--well have to appropriate more money I rise to a point of--. Lets concentrate on our own country for a change. I think Ill go. And we just boosted our pay for expenses. They propose going into countries where even our own diplomats are not allowed to enter. Why not--look--we cant travel here at home. Were you going to vacation Charlee? You had your European trip last winter. Travel Tougher. ODT Takes more railroad coaches, baggage cars in pool for soldiers. We just got back from 29,000 mile trip ask us--we can tell you. We want to talk to our boys over there. Interview the soldiers just coming back--theyll tell you whats what.
