In business section of English Ind. Covered for years was recently reopened by Lions Club A Southern Indiana beauty spot Near Rising Sun, Ind. Sulphur waters close to Evansville include these - Near Sulphur Ind at Lily White Spring discovered in 1862 gushes 11 gallon a minute from a 284 ft. depth. Sketches by Carl Biedenkopf Grandview Ind. Mrs. J.R. Puckett 716 So. Barker Ave. Evansville has a large Rhode Island hen that lays small 1 1/2 inch eggs. Send in your oddities - in pictures or sketches of interesting places - people - objects- etc. Herb M. Baird of L.M. Baird & Sons Dress Plaza came across this 63 year old - receipt from The Journal then located in building on Alley in Locust St. between First St. and River. Post office was next door. Gurg Madden Lynnville, Ind. has blossoms along with fruit on his apple trees Note much budding an bloomin at Mesker Zoo Violets growing out on farm of Arch Mahan Center Township Gibson County, Ind.
