A detailed miniature circus, an oceanography machine, and Siamese twin maple trees. Image Access WideTEK 25 Guy Stroud of Olney, Ill., has built a miniature circus. It requires a space of 10x24 feet in which to get it up. Tri-State Oddities Stroud, formerly a circus acrobat built this miniature for George Smith Jr. a boy living with him. All carved from wood except canvas, cloth etc. He has 76 wagons, cages with animals, bars and drop sides on cages. A complete set of tents each fully equipped as in the big top: - seats, 3 rings and 30 acts are seen in little figures. All shown in detail. The entire outfit packs in the little wagons. Spencer Melton, artist and genius of Madisonville, KY., who is obliged to get around in his wheel-chair -, has made an oceanography machine by which he carves on aluminum globes the topography of the Earth with detail of continents, mountains - rivers - oceans and all in true proportion. He spent 18 years building and perfecting this fine machine. Siamese twin trees Tell City Troy Ridge Road This man is Fred Franz Fire Chief Tell City Meryl B. Finch of Tell City sent this tree-freak. A photo of two hard maples, one 10 inches in diameter, the other 14 in joined together by a limb growing from one into other. Limb is 1 3/4 inches in diameter, 18 inches from ground.
