A steamboat heads toward the house to rescue the occupants. Bottom: A road is closed because of a huge pool of water, forcing an older car to stop. A modern highway has a puddle on it, which a car is able to drive through. The elephant wears rubber boots on all four feet.

This is the first time since 1913 that we had to come to the hill. Do you see them Dad? The school floated away! In former flood times around here many rescues were necessary. But nowadays residents are prepared and do not get caught. Road Closed. In the old days high water made most roads impassable, but today but few highways are bothered with more than a pool or so.
