Cook, of New Harmony, sent in a photo of an old level used by the Rappites when building the Old Fort and other heavy stone work in New Harmony--125 years ago. The level is of solid iron, weighs over 50 pounds. Reinforced lugs near hand holds permitted to pound the rock level by tapping with a mallet. Narl R. Avery, Huntingburg, Indiana, advises that the longest railroad tunnel in Indiana is near Georgetown on the Southern Railway. And did you know that there are two Georgetowns in Indiana?
