Lee; the Lee comments how he averaged 14 miles an hour, four more than the boats above, in his and the Natchezs 1870 race. Ha! 58 years ago I averaged 14 miles when I beat you. June 30, 1870 the Lee-Natchez race started. New Orleans to St. Louis. 1278 miles. Lee time 3 days 18 hour 14 minutes. |
