Karl Kae Knecht Cartoon

Description: The war as a fishing contest between the Axis powers and the Allies. Mussolini crouches on the bank holding onto Italy, a large fish, and a cord attached to Italy and two smaller fish, Sardinia and Sicily. Hitler stands on the bank with one foot on Mussolinis back. Fish labeled with the names of the countries Hitler has conquered are attached to a chain wrapped around a post on the bank. A man representing the German People reaches for the post; Hitler turns around to look at him suspiciously. Hitlers fishing pole snaps as the Allies successfully hook Africa.
