Karl Kae Knecht Cartoon

Description: Public and Uncle Sam sit at a table. Public slices a small piece off of 1942 Income Tax (a roast). That piece represents the amount paid in Indiana--only 20% of the usual amount by that date. The music on the radio indicates that people are waiting to see what Congress will do about the Pay as You Go plan, but a sheet of paper on the table says that first quarter taxes is due March 15 no matter what Congress decides.
