Topics include: Alis family and growing up in East Bengal; his education and work history; moving to Muncie in 1969; reaching out to international students to build the Muslim community at Ball State; his relationship with Rashid Shabazz and Aamir Shabazz; the establishment of Muslim Student Association and the Islamic Center of Muncie; going on Hajj; Alis practice of Islam; his work at Ball State; receiving the Sagamore of the Wabash; international events; and his sense of identity.
