Description: Interview with Mohammad Saber Bahrami taking place on the Ball State campus as part of the Virginia B. Ball Center Seminar Muslims in Muncie. Topics include: Growing up in Afghanistan; being raised by a single mother; his education in Afghanistan; practicing Islam; being a foreign exchange student in Sedalia, Missouri; the Soviet-Afghan war; living and working in a refugee camp in Pakistan; moving to Muncie in 1985; establishing a local Muslim Cemetery; moving to the new building on Hessler Road; his wifes, Bibi Bahrami, role at the Islamic Center; working as a physician in Muncie; the September 11th terrorist attacks; and the 2016 United States Presidential election.
An interview from Muslims in Muncie, an hour-long documentary film that traces a half-century of Muslims community building in Muncie, Indiana, from the 1960s to 2018, as told by community members.
