George Washington Lennard

Description: George Washington Lennard was born on March 5, 1825. Mustered into the 36th Indiana Infantry Regiment, Company C in 1861. Later elected First Lieutenant. Commissioned as a Colonel and assigned to the 57th Indiana Infantry Regiment by Governor Oliver P. Morton. Killed in battle on May 14, 1864 during the Battle of Resaca in Resaca, Georgia.
