Description: Transcript of authors extractions from his diary written from August 6, 1862 through November 30, 1863, while serving in the Union Army during the Civil War. The manuscript also contains recalled episodes, business and work records during March 23, 1878 through October 1, 1878 relating to two wills, and a list of expenses in January 1880 (possibly by Flora L. Brant).
The transcript only covers the part of the diary that deals specifically with the Civil War time period, which includes pages 1-99 of the original diary.
