Located in the Batson Cemetery in Liberty Township, Henry County, Indiana.; Volney Hobson was born on April 9, 1828. Served as a Captain in the 9th Indiana Cavalry Regiment, Company E. Killed in action on December 17, 1864 at Franklin, Tennessee, at the Railroad Bridge on Liberty Pike. This archival material has been provided for educational purposes.
