Civil court case in which Marie Joseph Page, the widow of Joseph Lamotte, sues William Page, administrator of Joseph Lamotte, to recover a mortgage executed by Lamotte in 1793. The mortage was on both a 400 acre Donation lot and a house and lot in Vincennes. The mortgage was security for the payment of 4,500 livres, which was equal to $1,125, exclusive of interest and was payable at the time of Joseph Lamottes death to Marie Joseph Page. |
